Girl with Broken Hair and Diamond Scars , 2022
4.5 x 1.5 in (h x w)
Bronze with diamond inclusions

“These bronze figures depict the emotional trauma of abuse. They are three figures from a series of seven that represent the journey of healing. The sculptures represent the inner wounds and conflicts we often don’t see. Diamonds are the hardest substance on earth; used here, they symbolize how through therapy and healing, our wounds can someday become our greatest strength and beauty. They express the tenaciousness of victims in fighting the effects of abuse and mental health issues, and the importance of support over silence on these issues, and of not forgetting the human being in this crisis.”
