Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Alberto acquired a Bachelor’s of Art in Studio Art, with a focus on painting, and a minor in Art History. Within the last year of his undergraduate program after suffering the unexpected loss of his uncle, Alberto found a way of coping with the events through painting. He was able to depict his emotions and states of mind, while facing the grief that followed. He mostly works from family photographs, photographs taken in his native home of Puerto Rico, and sometimes photographs from his surroundings in Florida. Alberto aspires to continue exploring his personal narrative and other topics in hopes of positively moving forward from these unstable past years.
