A peaceful brown. I chose this neutral colour to be the pigmentation of my paintings Hijjab, because brown represents peace, the result of each distinctive colour when acquainted with each other. It compliments everything which is why it represents every unique shade. I chose a fierce red background to contras but compliment the deep distinguishable rich brown. The Hijjab is a representation of spirituality and religion, and Islam is A religion of peace. Putting the peaceful diverse colours it only made sense to add beautiful bold Arabic letters resembling the word "peace" (أمن). The meaning behind my acrylic painting shows the significance of peace, neutral colours because that's what Islam is really about. The amount of diversity shown in the simple but detailed piece is quite astounding when you take a second to look. There's many different ways the Hijjab is worn, and I chose to use this hijab's design because it may even resemble myself a bit, this art piece is close to home and it shows that there can be diversity within Hijjab, not only the Hijjab tincture but the complexion because every ethnic group is capable of wearing the Hijjab, but in the end everyone who decided to wear it is representing the same thing; أمن. A peaceful brown, the base of every complexion, and what everything can end up being.
