Biography
Paolo Belletti (Dolo, 1982) is a photographer based in Milan. Graduated in Marketing and Communication, he then attended the Italian Institute of Photography and the Icp in New York. His research studies and analyzes the relationship between man and the surrounding environment by redefining spaces in nature through presences rather than absences. His often anthropological approach amplifies the environment to the point creating a different and almost surreal naturel. In addition to "Every movement is part of the process", Belletti created "Memoria notte" with the Piaggio Foundation and "A Flower Revolution" in collaboration with the Vietnamese Cultural Institute in Italy.
"Every movement is part of the process" is the tale of a dreamlike journey that invites us to reflect on the relationship between humans and water. A young woman, mother of the world, floats underwater, lives, and regenerates, symbolically tracing her life cycle.
The language of the body immersed in water crystallizes, amplifies, and brings to mind the condition of each of us in relation to the natural element to which we are most connected.
"Aqua mater," the primary source of life, a symbol of knowledge, a metaphor for the very becoming of things, envelops Man, cradles him, and accompanies him through time and space.
