Mind-fullness , 2023

This artwork portrays the imagination of a small child, bursting with inspiration. In the piece, it shows a variation of truth and surrealism. Things we experience in our everyday life, and things we experience through individual fantasies. The gaping hole in the middle represents the gateway between imagination and reality. You might be thinking, what does the title mean? Well, the word mind-fullness
is trying to express the antonym of mindfulness.
Mindfulness conveys a main idea of relaxation, concentration,
and awareness. Whereas mind-fullness demonstrates a clogged,
distracted, and agitated state. Fortunately, or unfortunately,
as people get older, this trait starts to fade away. Mind-fullness
is replaced by so-called maturity. We may see a logical and
trained mind, but the cost for this is child-like imaginations and
creativity. What I am trying to illustrate is that the phrase
‘I am’ is progressing as one gets through different stages of life.
