"Exploring self-identity in relation to the changing socio-political situations in Hong Kong is the theme in Arrow's artistic practice in recent years, and he reflects on the changing atmosphere
through a metaphor of video archives of fireworks displays on local television channels in the project, One Second. He uses woodcuts to record the moments captured from videos to question the information received beyond the scene. Transforming the video images into woodcuts, he creates a sense of a visual impact that speaks of the tension between a beautiful moment and the anticipation changes of the firework."
