"Henry Hagger's work highlights some under-appreciated examples of building craftsmanship.

Working from sketches and photographs he invites the viewer to look more closely at the beauty of the historic buildings and appreciate the skills of the craftsmen who made them.

Hagger's recent prints celebrate the beauty of the etched glass vanishing from our pubs and also the skill of the masons who carved the stones of our churches, abbeys and Cathedrals. To create his images he uses a mixture of soft ground, aquatint, spit-bite, intaglio-gravure and chine colle.

He has exhibited widely. Gallery highlights include: The Royal Academy, The Royal Scottish Academy, the Whitechapel, the Serpentine, the Mall and the Bankside. "
