“After being diagnosed with bone cancer in high school, I decided that my perspective toward facing this incredible challenge was going to be up to me. I fought every day to approach cancer with perseverance and with a positive mindset. My positivity gave me the courage to face many sick hospitaö days with peace and with resilience. This mindset also gace me the strength to emotionally be there for the newly admitted children who were scared to begin this journey, and wanted a friend in the hospital who could understand them and who could help fight alongside them."
