One thing I new from the beginning of the project is that I wanted to show how certain events impacted my grandad's life in the past. Through that how much Opi’s story has affected me personally. By researching his past, I gained a better understanding of my family's history and found a way of expressing this artistically.

I have learned further how artists express storytelling within their style of art. For example, within themselves, their culture, and their background. I found this was so helpful, as I wanted to combine meaningful elements to create diverse outcomes. Researching this on my own was a challenge due to the many artists and sources out there. Through this course, I learned how crucial this step is as the base of the project. For example, once I came across photographers who capture abstract movement I became really inspired.

As this theme is so personal to me, I'm glad I was able to represent both the past and present within individual pieces.

Wonderful narrative to this project. Watching it evolve isn't able to be felt in just the outcome, but we feel even on it's own this piece gives us a glimpse into your own expression and personal journey. One that can be shared and gives a universal understanding of that connection to family. It's a lovely set of outcomes and we hope even just this one image shows the creativity and personal touch Caprice has created with her artwork - superb work!
