My project and final piece have been a study of Gothicism. My final piece was done on
A3 paper using mixed media of; Graphite Pencil and Acrylic Paint. I wanted to create an
art piece that reflects that moody, dark and surreal atmosphere that is Gothicism. I used
graphite pencil greys for the woman to make her appear ghostlike on the page. I also
used dark shadows and an old ruin to make the piece more creepy. This project has
been a brilliant opportunity to learn time management, explore something in depth and
study artists that I admire.
