This is a photo of the Blue Ridge Highway in North Carolina. As you can see, the leaves are turning. It is still late summer.
This is out of sync with other years. One has to wonder how climate change is affecting this. One also has to wonder what birds will feed on when they migrate here and food sources have changed due to unpredictable weather events, more violent storms and droughts. .
However, I also laud North Carolina and Virginia and Tennessee for preserving these lands as national parks in perpetuity.
