Camilla is one of my chickens who is the product of needing a hobby during the pandemic. What started out as 4 chicks (with her as the star), has morphed into more than a dozen chickens. She is the queen of the coop, the top hen in the pecking order. I took this photo to cheer up my director when she was under the weather. Camilla lived up to her curious nature and was more than ready for her close-up! There are connections between humans and animals that often times cannot be explained. My chickens have become therapy for me, during a very emotionally trying 2020 and beyond; they depend on me, and I depend on them. It makes my heart happy to look out of my back door and see them, each one with a unique personality.
