IMPROVISATION
In this series, which I've been pursuing for several years, I explore the world of improvisation. First I spread a thick layer of oil paint over the entire surface of the canvas, most of it monochrome. Then I work this mass with a fine spatula, letting myself be carried away by the rhythms and moods of previously chosen music. This work requires deep awareness, in order to pulse with the material, the body and the music. The idea is to remain both open and responsive to the unexpected, during the entire creative act. Some of the works in the series were created on stage, in front of an audience, improvising in duet with a jazz-trained pianist.
PALIMPSESTS
The work in this series, "Palimpsests", is based on questioning the components of a work of art hidden by others. Each work matches an enigma that is revealed by breaking free from our own paradigms. On the canvas, I first laid down a back-world, a sequence that I deliberately left unsolved. Like any back-world, immersed subconscious, it disappears behind the screen of reality. Only a few traces remain, the outline of a story. The real is this layer of paint, applied, then dug, scratched, mishandled by the impulses of the moment; we can never return to it, because this impermanence is permeable to the vibrations of light. At the very end I draw the slit, a theme dear to me, this scratch through the entire thickness of the palimpsest, a mirror that allows us to cross the appearance of things and perhaps go back in time to that forever lost back world. In this way, the painting duplicates itself.

Dans cette série, que je poursuis depuis plusieurs années, j'explore le monde de l'improvisation. Je commence par étaler une épaisse couche de peinture à l'huile sur toute la surface de la toile, principalement monochrome. Ensuite, je travaille cette masse à l'aide d'une fine spatule en me laissant porter par les rythmes et les ambiances de musiques que je choisis préalablement. Ce travail nécessite une présence totale, qui permet de réagir aux impulsions de la matière, du corps et de la musique. Il s'agit pour moi de rester ouvert et réactif au surgissement de l'inattendu, pendant toute la durée de l'acte créatif. Certaines des œuvres de la série ont été réalisées sur scène, face à un public, dans un duo d'improvisation avec un pianiste formé au Jazz.
PALIMPSESTES
Le travail de cette série nommée « Palimpsestes » repose sur le questionnement des éléments d’une œuvre cachée par d’autres. Chaque œuvre correspond à une énigme qui se dévoile en se libérant de nos propres paradigmes. Sur la toile, j'ai déposé d'abord un arrière-monde, une suite que je n'avais pas résolue, volontairement. Comme tout arrière-monde, subconscient immergé, il disparaît derrière l'écran du réel. Ne surgissent plus que quelques traces, l'ébauche d'un récit. Le réel, c'est cette couche de peinture, étalée puis creusée, griffée, malmenée par mes pulsions du moment ; on ne pourra jamais y revenir, car cette impermanence est sensible aux vibrations de la lumière. À la toute fin je trace la schize, un thème qui m'est cher, cette raclure au travers de toute l'épaisseur du palimpseste, un miroir qui permet de franchir l'apparence des choses et de remonter peut-être le temps jusqu'à cet arrière-monde disparu à jamais. Ainsi le tableau se redouble de lui-même.

在这个我已经持续多年的系列中，我探索即兴的世界。我首先在整块画布的表面上涂抹一层厚厚的油画，主要是单色的。然后，我使用细刀工具来处理这一块厚厚的颜料，让自己随着我事先选择的音乐的节奏和氛围来进行工作。这项工作需要完全的专注，以便对物质、身体和音乐的冲动做出反应。对我来说，这意味着在整个创作过程中保持开放和对意外出现的敏感。这个系列中的一些作品是在舞台上制作的，面对观众，在与一位受过爵士音乐训练的钢琴家进行即兴二重奏中完成的。
PALIMPSESTS - 重影
这个名为“重影”的系列作品探讨了一个作品的元素被其他元素隐藏的问题。每件作品都对应着一个谜题，它在摆脱我们自己的范式时逐渐揭示。在画布上，我首先放置了一个背后的世界，一个我尚未解决的续篇，是有意的。就像每个潜在的潜意识，它都隐匿在现实屏幕之后。只有一些痕迹逐渐浮现，勾勒出一个故事的轮廓。现实是那层涂抹、展开、刻痕、受我当时冲动的蹂躏；我们再也无法回到那里，因为这种无常感受到光线的振动。最后，我刻画了"schize"，这是我喜爱的主题，是在整个重影的厚度中的一道刮擦，一面镜子，可以穿越事物的表象，也许可以回溯到永远消失的背后的世界。因此，画作自我重叠。
