Juana is a senior who is legally blind with diabetic retinopathy. She has been exploring and evolving in her world of texture applications with recycled materials through mixed media art. This artwork, titled “United Casas,” represents how the landscapes of people’s homes around the world look different, but also create a consistency of hoping that all people live together in unity.
Juana is a resident of Miami Lighthouse for the Blind.
