About the Artist:
Vian Borchert is an established expressionist artist. Borchert has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in museums and key galleries in major cities such as: NYC, LA, Washington DC, London, Berlin. Borchert's artwork has been on display in Times Square on Broadway, United Nations, SAM museum in PA, The National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, Medinaceli DeArte Museo Contemporáneo in Spain. Vian is a graduate and "Notable Alumni" from the Corcoran George Washington, Borchert’s art has been featured in press like Museum Week Magazine, ShoutOut LA, OFF TOWN Magazine, and on the covers of French style magazines: “ROIDX”, “MOEVIR”; and on the cover of literary journals like "PENSIVE” . Borchert's work is in world marketplaces with auctions.

About the Artwork:
In a series titled the "New Wave" Borchert reflects on her love for the Big Blue in all its temperament in her signature abstracted minimal and expressionist style. Borchert states, "To see the world through my eyes. To see the horizon line, to feel the wind breeze, the time of day, the waves splashing at the edge of the water, to feel the heaviness of the night, and the lightness of the day, to play with brush strokes, to go on a painter's journey through my eyes is attained by viewing my work."
