The draft for this particular quilt created a big challenge for me requiring a precise geometric construction. The quilt‘s center consisting of six sections expands outwardly into a twelve-part circle. A considerable amount of patience was needed to assemble 1050 individual pieces to create a Mandala until the finished work unfolded its magic.
It reminds me of a rosetta window of gothic cathedrals letting the colors of the stained-glass glow when touched by the rays of the sun.
