My name is Lids, I'm an artist that creates textural pieces solely out of plastic waste and recycled materials. The canvas' are Made from reclaimed timber pulled from wood yard skips and I create the textures by manipulating the plastic and waste items with a small amount of heat, reshape them, build them into my pieces and paint over with acrylic paints. I am new to the art game but love creating unexpected beauty with these unconventional materials giving them all a unique second chance at life. These three pieces are part of a four piece debut collection called 'Elements of Surprise'. With each one being based on the textures of their element!
