At some point or another, everyone has felt unseen
and unheard and that’s the feeling I have tried to
channel in this series. The entire series was born out of
social issues which tend to get ignored or unheard as
they are of less importance. Spanning across three
generations of women, this project is deeply impactful.
One of the things that people forget is that there is so
much to art than they generally know. Art can be
challenging but at the same time it can be so rewarding
and meaningful.

With Charcoal I feel the most at peace. To render
something in its true character. It is the one thing that
has pushed me to the edge, tested my patience and
has challenged me in the best possible ways. The
feeling of Charcoal crushing on a white paper is like
no other. The layers of smudged charcoal with
distinctive white erased lines and the dark and grey
effect of the image gives the impression that the
image drawn has a deeper message.
