Programs:
The island is meant to act as a large space with endless possibilities. I attempted to design the site/island in a way that can allow for new spaces to be generated off of the central island without taking away from the original goal of the project.

The central island contains three and a half buildings as of the current state of the project.
The first building is the Art center which contains programs to teach students of all ages about various art forms like painting, ceramics, metal work, carpentry, etc in hopes to teach people about different cultures through art and also through working together to create things. The second building is what I would consider an organizational/functional space that contains programs related to the general functioning of the island.

For example, this ‘Main’ Building would contain varying offices that manage and organize activities, boat times, tours, housing, migration information and behind the scenes things like island maintenance.

The last building is supposed to be a theater/performance center. All buildings have green spaces on their roofs in order to encourage people to gather, additionally all structures are connected by walkways to encourage diverse movement between the spaces.

I also implemented little booths between the art center and main building to create a space for an open air market to sell goods. On the surrounding island there is housing and other programs.
