My name is Kinda Nizam, and I am a Syrian woman photographer based in Salt Lake City. My mother instilled artistry in me through her passion for multiple mediums of art. I moved to the states to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Throughout the years, I experimented with numerous types of photography to find that my passion is to capture the infusions of the social, psychological, and expressive layers within us in a conceptual way. I am mostly intrigued by the processes humans and objects go through, and the layers added to them along the way. The Input, middle stage, and output. Because of impositions and categorizations, we uniquely grasp the world and transform accordingly. To illustrate that, I photograph, print, and paint to create collages that translate the intended concepts.
