Jade Oh is an artist born in Seoul, South Korea. She currently lives and paints in Chicago, IL. Her paintings are based on the idea of 'Everything is in Motion, which conveys even those things that appear static are really in motion. Mainly inspired by her childhood memory she first encountered pungmulnori, a traditional Korean dance, and captures the movement and the sound from the dance and creates it into a new genre of abstract figures which are dancing. She is interested in communication between viewers and the paintings through the motions.
