Tony (Anton) Karbouski

Anton Karbouski was born and raised in Belarus and currently lives in Poland. He is self-taught and began his journey as an artist in 2022 when he was 33 years old. During this time, he created about 300 works (approximately 150 graphics and 149 paintings).

Anton does not say that he is an artist, because, in his opinion, for this he needs to contribute to the history of fine art, but since he is studying, he therefore calls himself a person who is learning to draw.
Karbouski outlined the conditions for himself, after which he would say that he had become an artist. In short, there are three of them: create 1000 paintings, win the first competition and organize a personal exhibition in the gallery. Such conditions do not prevent Anton from drawing and learning to paint on his own, even though he has to combine it with his main job (not related to art). Karbouski is confident that such difficulties only strengthen character and add more value to work. In addition, Anton leads an active social life and publishes videos with the process of creating his paintings for YouTube and TikTok. (started in summer 2023).

All paintings were completed in a limited period of time (this is due to lack of time). Karbouski spends no more than 1 hour on each work. Because of this, many paintings look unfinished or simple . He also doesn’t make any edits. The author is confident that this approach is very effective for learning and shows well what can be achieved if you train regularly.

One of the key paintings from the Winter cycle.
