Steve Cussons

Steve Cussons is a London-based artist exploring process and materiality.

Finding her inspiration from mathematics and physics, she explores the nature of matter and energy, working in collaboration with her media to capture its inherent performative qualities.

Linked to her interest in astronomy and cosmology, Steve has an ongoing, long-term project inspired by the prehistoric structures encountered whilst walking the coasts of Britain and Brittany.
Sketches on location are developed into layered prints, in response to the layers of traces in the landscape and the accumulated power that such persistent places have in our collective imagination.
