This Hamburg mixed media, paint & collage is whimsical and romantic.  It reflects the sentiments of a young man in love.  In one of his letters to his sister Pauline, he writes "I met a girl" and later, "I’ve become quite a hit in Hamburg…."

We call this the WHITE LIGHT and we see it as representing Stuart in his zone - ecstatic about the possibilities ahead.  The observer can see many images in this work - an expression of joy, passion and excitement.
