"After assessing the damage and cleaning around her yard, Castle Bruce resident Jacinta Bannis walks around the community to see how others have fared. Here she takes in the view of GluGlu from a friend's home. GluGlu is the village's main square which houses the Catholic Church, Primary School, Police Station and Credit Union. The houses seen to her right normally would be hidden by trees but the Category 5 storm has exposed every single building in the community as trees were stripped of leaves and branches."

Artist Biography

Ayeola George is a native of the Eastern Caribbean island of Dominica. She is currently employed as the Information Officer at the Dominica Export Import Agency (DEXIA) and holds a degree in Media and Communication from the University of the West Indies (Mona) and runs her own communication company, On Target Communication.
