Painted during quarantine in Berlin using bright colours with surrealist elements. I wanted to show how inspiration can be found anywhere even within our own four walls, that the everyday can be reimagined endlessly. By taking objects around me and working on a series of large scale still lifes reimagined I would like to convey the simple beauty of the objects around us. 2020 provided for better or for worse a necessity to find new sources of inspiration under limited surroundings. To accept the unknown and to fully give oneself over to something bigger than ourselves by embracing the new order of things.
