I made this piece from a photograph I took on Lancing Beach, I am often amazed how different the South Coast near me is from a day to day basis. Although a very cold Autumn day, the sunset created colours that made the beach appear warm, welcoming and reminiscent of holidays in the Mediterranean. As we can travel little during COVID times I try and re-create memories of summer holidays and happy memories in paint.
