Diptych, each 100 H x 70 W cm

The predominant color of both paintings, which are similarly textured and painted, is blue. The left part of the paintings shows an animal head in front of a monochrome blue background and next to it a male figure with a baton in his hand. The clear demarcation of the color surfaces is reminiscent of the technique of serigraphy, while the manner of abstraction resembles comic representations. No further illustration, except a small candle flame in the background, influences the main picture. The right part of the diptych shows in a similar representation three dogs scattering in front of a tree and looking up there with their teeth bared. Of the tree, only the trunk can be seen, while the dog heads are also shown in close-up. Here, too, the devastated painterly technique recalls the silkscreen, while both parts of the painting seem to be inherent in the theme of hunting. The left painting, on the other hand, illustrates the victory of one and the right one of losing the fight.
