Time With Myself , 2020
[58]

This is a picture of me hanging out with myself in my room, reading a book, and using my phone. With this piece, I wanted to demonstrate the idea that during quarantine, we have a lot of time to spend with ourselves.
The virus has been a very negative thing, but when trying to see the good in it, I’ve realized that quarantine has allowed many of us to take a pause that was long overdue and to heal ourselves. I know for me personally,
a lot of events were canceled or postponed, and during my little ‘pause’, I made sure to take some time to work on my mental health. I know this also allowed everyone to take a step back from their busy lives and really think about what was truly valuable to them, whether it be family, friends, their pets, love, etc.
