Λευκοτσικνιάς (Egretta garzetta) στη λίμνη Αγυιάς στα Χανιά της Κρήτης. Ένα από τα 9 είδη ερωδιών της Ευρώπης και της Ελλάδας. Τον συναντάμε σε υγρoτόπους όπως λίμνες, έλη, και λιμνοθάλασσες, όπου τρέφεται με μικρά ψάρια, έντομα και αμφίβια. Οι περιοχές αναπαραγωγής του προστατεύονται από το δίκτυο Natura 2000.

Little egrets can be found in wetlands such as lakes, swamps, and lagoons, where they feed on small fish, insects and amphibians. Their breeding grounds are protected by the Natura 2000 European network of protected areas.
