One event which I love to cover for the newspapers is Kington Wheelbarrow Race. Hundreds of people line the streets to watch entrants, most of which are in fancy dress, race through the town. It is a press photographer’s dream.

I love the timing of this picture It shows entrants Michael East, better known as Wizard - who has sadly passed away and Kington Festival Chairman Phil Eggerton. I could hear a large part of the crowd cheering them on, I anticipated the moment and was lucky no other entrants were in the way!
