Pencil and gold leaf on paper

I started going for daily walks alone on Hampstead Heath through the extension on Wildwood Road. There are seven ponds on the route with reflections of large trees. I feel a bit like T. S. Eliot’s Hollow Men, slowly coming back to life. But I am filled with all kinds of other people who fly out of me as I walk. How many identities can one person have? Father, son, brother, husband, artist, person in search of meaning. I have started walking and in the coming weeks I am going to walk for long periods every day. Walking is the best time to think and to pray.
