Something that I learned from being an intern at MiHC was that regardless of where one comes from or our roots, we can still pursue higher education. That we should not be ashamed of our background of feeling shy because we are the only student in the class with a different skin color. We should be proud that we are sitting in that classroom. The drawing I made is a representation of this. All six students are part of the Latinx community, the signs that they are holding up shows their situations. However, regardless of their situation they all pursued a higher education and graduated.
