La serie ripercorre alcune fasi salienti dell’emergenza sanitaria che sta colpendo il mondo intero proponendo la selezione di alcune parole ricorrenti nei discorsi pubblici e istituzionali. Ad ogni ritratto corrisponde una parola-tag che enfatizza il concetto espresso nei passaggi scelti. Il 10 marzo 2020 il premier italiano Giuseppe Conte dichiara l’Italia “zona protetta”: ha così inizio il lockdown. Il giorno dopo, l’11 marzo 2020 il direttore generale dell’OMS Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus dichiara ufficialmente lo stato di “pandemia”. Il 12 marzo 2020 il primo ministro britannico Boris Johnson annuncia la sua strategia soft per combattere l’epidemia da SARS-CoV-2, la tanto discussa “immunità di gregge”. Il 6 aprile 2020 la Cancelliera tedesca Angela Merkel dichiara che l’UE è davanti alla prova più dura dalla sua nascita.

The series retraces some of the salient phases of the health emergency that is affecting the whole world by proposing the selection of some recurrent words in public and institutional speeches. Each portrait corresponds to a tag-word that emphasizes the concept expressed in the chosen passages. On March 10 2020, the Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte declares Italy a "protected zone": the lockdown begins. The next day, on March 11 2020, WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus officially declares SARS-CoV-2 a "pandemic". On March 12 2020, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced his soft strategy to contrast the epidemic, the much-discussed "herd immunity". On April 6 2020, German Chancellor Angela Merkel declares that the EU is facing the toughest test since its beginning.
