Pride Proposal

I shot this for Pride In London 2019. What's fun about photographing Pride events is the unplanned chaos it all; as a photographer you would think that that would scare me but I thrive upon it as you just never know what's going to happen next. Case in point with this image; I remember standing off to one side quickly taking a swig of water between shots when I noticed a proposal happening literally right next to me. I moved into position, pressed that shutter as fast as I could and hoped for the best. The end result captured summed up what I love about Pride; it's everyone coming together and forgetting their differences to show and spread love. The true shock on the girl's face in centre is priceless and I love the people all around her who are caught up in the pure ecstasy and joy of the moment.
