Stanford Literature Lecture Series Posters , 2019

Asked to create a poster concept for a lecture series at Stanford University's Center for the Study of the Novel, I wanted to allude to the series themes in an unexpected way. The classical painting imagery in these posters piques the viewers interest by obscuring the image, creating a compelling and unifying visual language for each lecture. Included in the project scope was the creation of a new identity for the center. The simple red form references both a book and a speech "block", a visual metaphor for this lecture series.
