Summer Woodland, Chesterblade and more art by Luke Piper

The summer of 2020 left us trying more and more to find solace in daily outings in to the landscape. Being immersed in woodland on a summer day is as close to escaping in to the garden of Eden as one can get. I try to represent the sense of breaking free in the paintings by loosening the form and focussing on pure colour and composition.
