"I started this piece on the (new moon) Mushroom Day celebration on the Vision Train. I wanted to start from scratch but as I started, a live painting in it’s beginning stages called out to me. It was a black background with the full moon in the sky. In the center was the Earth and around it we’re rough sketches of each of my 13 Moon Spectral Goddesses holding, protecting and healing our Earth. As we began our initial ceremony it was clear that these being wanted to be depicted as these diverse and beautiful species. I had never before seen anyone show a diverse group of fungi in a spectrally ordered rainbow and knew this was the time for the vision to come forth. I researched and chose 26 species of mushrooms to depict.

Fungi are truly the “full spectrum of consciousness” and have the ability to directly help humanity, but yet if we are not careful, they also can also hurt or even kill us. They demand our respect and illustrate directly the magic of life on this planet.
The Earth in the center was turned into an eye with an Earth in the pupil to illustrate the consciousness of our beautiful, living planet. Mushrooms use their mycelillial web deep underground to communicate and transmit nutrients, so I have shown this web reaching directly to it through space.

As we all know, spores are perhaps the only thing on Earth(?) that can survive the vacuum of space. The closed Buddha-type eyes in the cosmos represent the great cosmic powerful being that may have sent these spores to Earth."
