"We’ve all been there.... one too many psychedelic mushrooms and the earth begins to reveal its faltering cracks. All that is material seems to be less real than that which is infinitely more. Through waves of unnervingly dense hallucinations, the illusion begins to disintegrate. All of the beliefs we have been taught to hold on to for dear life fall away like the hand trying to clutch water.

In all of the earth shattering realizations, we can see that there is something so beautiful about life. Not in the fact that it’s free from suffering or that is easy, quite the contrary. But that we are not here for the easy, we are here for the meaningful, even when that means making the meaning ourselves. All of the meaning has to be combatted with complete and utter meaninglessness. The ability to laugh at even the most difficult of circumstances is what can keep us afloat. The mushrooms can show us incredible and horrifying visions, but they can also return us to the delectable state of childlike laughter. And they say that laughter is the best medicine..."
