Alexandre Farto, aka Vhils, è un giovane street artist portoghese. Fa parte della generazione di urban artists che hanno contribuito a dare un nuovo volto alle metropoli del nostro tempo.
Ricorrendo sistematicamente alla “distruzione come forma di creazione”, ha regalato al Centro Ospedaliero Universitario di São João della città di Porto, un’opera unica. Grattando, scrostando, incidendo con il trapano muri usati contemporaneamente come colori e tele, l’artista ha reso omaggio a medici, infermieri e operatori sanitari che hanno lottato contro il SARS-CoV-2. Dieci volti di eroi quotidiani spesso dimenticati, per i quali non è esistita pausa, nemmeno quando il mondo intero si è arrestato.

Alexandre Farto, aka Vhils, is a young Portuguese street artist. He is part of the generation of urban artists who have contributed to give a new face to the metropolis of our time.
By systematically resorting to "destruction as a form of creation", he has given the University Hospital Center of São João in the city of Porto a unique contribution. By scratching, scraping, and engraving with the drill walls used at the same time as colors and canvases, the artist paid tribute to doctors, nurses, and health workers who fought against SARS-CoV-2. Ten faces of often forgotten daily heroes, for whom there was no pause, not even when the whole world stopped.
