COVID19 SITUATION - Concept - I prepared a face photograph inside the studio. In the background, I wrote words that have to do with COVID-19. There are technical words, medical terms, and words used by the media (TV, press and radio) once and again. The information that these words transmitted has impacted the lives of the people. In my experience, we were daily exposed to information and misinformation by the media, and I want to criticise this exposure. This makes me realize that we need to act as a filter, and we need to decide if this situation affects us or not. I chose to paint my face because body painting is an ancestral act for rituals and magical and shamanic acts. This is the portrait of a contemporary poet, for which he wrote a poem of his on his face. I wanted to used black and white because of this situation to me took out the joy of our lives. So, I used the lack of colours as a metaphor of unhappy mood Moreover, I wanted to evoke the essence of The Punk movement of the 70s.
