Artist Statement
Through her art, Afsaneh Shafai explores pathways of reinforcement in an effort to express and restate her view of feminine existence. Looking inward to comprehend the mysteries of her inner feelings, she taps on her maternal strengths and instincts.

Biography
Afsaneh Shafai resides in Toronto, Canada, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from University of Manitoba followed by her postgraduate studies in Art Therapy at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute, believing that “Art is Healing.” Shafai had been exhibiting since 1986 and her work has earned her many awards. .
