13.5 tons of CO2 are generated yearly by luxury brands. 99% of those brands refuse to produce fewer items, 45% are not tracking their supply chain, and millions of tons of inventory are destroyed every year to cope with the market logic of keeping the items exclusive. This abusive use of the planet's resources contributes to endangering animals – like frogs, penguins and flamingos already on the red list.
Christian Louboutin’s trademark is the red sole. We have transformed his former “degrade” collection: We played with the French word “dégradé” and the English verb “degrade” to illustrate the environmental impact of the luxury industry. What kind of footprints would you like to leave? Red, green…
