Salem Browning's (b. 1998) performative work is a play on the magic role of the court jester, allowing the phantasmagorical qualities of the clown to unveil deeper questions about primordial waters and self becoming. Salem has earned a BFA with a concentration in photography from East Carolina Univeristy (2021) and an MFA from SUNY Buffalo (2024).
