My work explores our journeys and celebrates our beautiful connections by allowing the viewer to overlay their personal narratives on the paintings. My art remove the viewer from the realities of a view experienced a thousand times and reunites them with the stories behind that view, celebrating the beauty in every day and sparking hope for the future.

Following a 20 year career as an aerospace engineer in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Jodi returned to her home province of Saskatchewan whose environment now informs her work. Her art explores our relationship with a place, our sense of belonging and the humanity of connection. Her expressionist landscapes use large brushstrokes and palette knife techniques to create texture, depth and a narrative that is informed by the history of the paint as it is applied to the canvas itself. Jodi challenges the viewer to overlay their own story on her paintings, making connections personal. Jodi is an award winning prairie artist who has exhibited and curated solo and group exhibitions at local venues and shown her work in public galleries as part of member exhibitions and juried art shows.
