Beads of Hope | Billes d'espoir
45 x 60 x 1 in (h x w x d)
Acrylic on canvas

For patients and their families, “Hope” is essential. That is what inspired my last painting called “Beads of Hope”. It is a large painting (30”40” Acrylic on Canvas using a Knife) depicting blue, green, teal and turquoise beads in a bowl. One Artist mentioned to me on Instagram that it was so soothing to look at it. The colors of the beads have meaning in many different cultures: Blue for example represents tranquility, peace while green represents hope and harmony.
I have always been an Artist. I grew up on a farm entranced by the beauty of nature. I wanted to capture the fleeting, fragile Beauty of nature through art…before it disappears. However, I decided to pursue other interests, working as a refugee lawyer and teacher, before pursuing Art professionally.
I work with a palette knife and acrylic paint to paint bold, vibrant portraits, still life and figure paintings. I am currently represented by New York Gallery Mahlstedt and Art Provo in the Caribbean. I have had exhibitions in New York, Miami, London, Toronto and the Caribbean.
