Hummingbird Heart was inspired by a family member who adores hummingbirds and overcame breast cancer. In this piece a hummingbird is wrapped in the pink breast cancer symbol guiding the woman to the heavens. She is kept grounded by the support of her family, healthcare, people around her and her faith.

Krista Heidel is a 28-year-old artist and musician living in Saskatoon, SK. She completed the Certificate of Art and Design from the University of Saskatchewan as well as her grade 8 piano and grade 2 theory from the RCM. She has her own music and design business called Kmusic and Design. Krista has been featured in the USCAD Alumni Exhibition and 2018 CMHA Cash Calendar. Krista loves to express herself through different artistic mediums. Her favourites include digital, photography and graphite.
