This is a digital art piece created to explore the concept of safety. On my bed, I find my most comfort as my inflamed limbs spread over my body laying on a lotus leaf of rebirth, regeneration. As someone who has had doctors treat my illness as a minor thing, rather than a daily painful struggle, my bed is my support, my proof to myself. The pain is all real, it always has been.
