This piece is a diorama and sculptural investigation of the character, Stepmother, from the Grimm’s fairytale, “The Juniper
Tree.” Items in the box are made primarily from porcelain, the box itself is built from pine, and the raven on top of the box is
porcelain and gold resin. Symbolic items inside the box include a chest, window, two apples, two cauldrons, and bones among
coals.
