In 2022 I came to the realisation that both my British and my Australian passports had expired,
one in 2020 and the other in 2021. Significantly, during the Lockdowns I hadn't even noticed – because who was going anywhere anyway? Now that I can travel overseas again – well, I can't! And at present I don't much care – emblematic of the lassitude that has overtaken me in these post-pandemic days.
